Workers


Workers are one of the major concerns of the company. This is why SQM invests in training, updating training, and technical specialization. However, the company understands that their growth goes beyond professional, ensuring thus an integral development of its people, so as to obtain not only better workers, but better persons.

In this sense, we can mention Diploma Courses for Iodine Plant, Nitrate Finished Products, and Crushing Maintenance Operators, as well as Maintenance for Electromechanical Personnel.

SQM also conducts a Leader Development Program that was specially designed to meet SQM's requirements, and provides effective leadership techniques and tools to company supervisors.

To promote the integral development of its workers, the company encourages their social commitment through annual Competitive Funds to which workers apply with different projects aimed to help the community, which are materialized thanks to the funds granted by SQM. In addition, and in order to develop their narrative skills, the company organizes monthly literary workshops with the writer Hernán Rivera Letelier, which currently involves 24 workers.
